About Me

My name is Joel Hall. I am a 22 year-old recent graduate from Emory University in Atlanta, GA. Upon graduation I was apointed a position to teach English in Japan with the JET (Japanese Exchange and Teaching) Program. For the next year (or three if I choose) I will live and teach in Takahata Town, a small mountain village in the Yamagata prefecture, about 2.5 hours northeast of Tokyo. I am the second Westerner and the first American to ever teach at Takahata High School. I'm sure that it will provide some interesting and funny stories.
